The best advice I can give is to find a good Houston apartment locator and tell them what you are looking for. They can usually find what you are looking for pretty quick. Most times they will find it with in a couple of hours.
When starting your search it is a good idea to use an online searchable database to select the top 4 or 5 Houston apartments that you are interested in.
Once you have chosen the top 4 or 5 call your locator and ask them what they think and have them check availability for you. There is no need to drive around to a bunch of Houston apartments if they don't have an apartment for your time frame.
